Shanna Thorpe, MS OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

A 2009 graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University's Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program. Prior to graduation, she worked in various settings, including Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as in clinical fieldwork at both Tree of Life and VCU Health Systems. Ms. Thorpe has experience in neurorecovery working with survivors of cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). She has experience working with Saeboflex and Saebostretch orthotics, as well as the REO neurorecovery tool. Ms. Thorpe is also Bioness H200 and Armeo trained. Since graduation, she worked full-time as an inpatient occupational therapist at Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Hospital where she continues her PRN status.

She is a member of The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and The Virginia Occupational Therapy Program (VOTA). Ms. Thorpe is registered through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed through the Virginia Board of Medicine.
